Travel program

Tehran

Tehran, with more than 15 million people, is the center of Iran’s national identity. Before heading to the World Heritage-listed Golestan Palace, experience local shopping at Tehran’s maze-like Grand Bazaar. The 18th century Qajar collection is a masterpiece of hand-painted tiles, which is placed in a green garden. After walking in the city park, arrive at the National Museum of Iran, which houses some of the ancient works of Iran and the Middle Ages.

Start the day with the famous Saadabad Historical Complex in northern Tehran, a 300-hectare complex built by the Qajar and Pahlavi kings next to the current president’s house. After this, take a walk in the Tajrish market for an organic and lively shopping experience. Depending on your departure, you can visit the Milad Tower, Tehran’s tallest building, or the iconic Azadi Tower, a mix of classical and modern Iranian art. We have prepared an overnight flight to Shiraz for a trip to the past the next day.

Shiraz

Arrive before 8am for the best views of the sunlight hitting the glass mosaic windows of Nasir al-Mulk Mosque. After taking photos, explore the 11th century Shiraz Bazaar. Then you reach Vakil Complex, a popular desert stopover for Asian and European traders on ancient trade routes. This complex has Vakil mosque, Vakil bath and historical caravanserai. Dive in Karim Khan Citadel. End the night with the tomb of the 14th century poet Hafez.

Shiraz

Start your day with the world-famous Persepolis, once the center of the Persian Empire and one of the great capitals of the ancient world. The towering columns, high reliefs and massive gateways are still imposing. Then we move to see Naghse Rostam Cemetery, the huge tombs, carved directly into the mountainside. Spend some time at the final resting place of Cyrus the Great, the founder of Iran’s first empire, the Achaemenid dynasty, in Pasargad. Rest the night in Isfahan.

Esfahan

After a night’s sleep, visit the 16th century. Naqsh Jahan Square is the headquarters of the Safavid dynasty of Iran. Dive into the dirt paths, hidden courtyards, and boutique shops of the Qaisarieh market. Be amazed by the mesmerizing dome of the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, the mesmerizing courtyard of the Shah Mosque and the view of the Aali Qapu Palace. A quick walk takes you to Chehlsetun Palace, the Safavid royal reception for foreign dignitaries. End the day with an Iranian cooking class at a local home.

Esfahan

Visit the 8th century in the early morning. Jameh Mosque of Isfahan is a former fire temple of Zoroastrians, which has been continuously built on it over the centuries. Dive deep into local Iranian culture with the Iranian Carpet Workshop. Get to know the trend and history of Iran’s most famous handicrafts. Finish with the bright frescoes of the Vanak Cathedral in the Armenian quarter of New Jolfa. End the night with the local hangouts of Zayanderud, Paul Khajo and Paul Si-o-se-pol. Spend the night in Isfahan.

Kashan

Leave for Kashan in the morning. Visit the Agha Bozor Mosque, a multi-level seminary that was the center of Kashani life. Visit Sultan Amir Ahmed Hammam for classical bath training. You can also see the amazing House of the Abbasids and the House of the Tabatabais, two examples of luxurious houses with exceptional attention to every architectural detail, designed specifically for the desert.

I hope you enjoyed your stay with us.
